Catholic Schools Week 2020

National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States.  St. John School will observe CSW with Masses, assemblies and other activities to celebrate students, families, parishioners, and community and global partners.

We will kick things off at the 10:30am Mass on Sunday, January 26.  Students are encouraged to wear Dress Uniform.  After Mass, be sure to head to:

  • All School Open House:  View classrooms and have some treats.  Students will give tours of the school.
  • Middle School Cultural Fair:  Visit Egan Hall to learn about different cultures from our middle school students.
  • Makerspace:  Make up-cycled bags out of old t-shirts; bring a t-shirt to reuse (t-shirts will also be available).  This free pop-up event will be held in Portable 44, MakerSpace.

The week following will be filled with days of celebration and honoring those around us:

  • Monday, January 27 – Service & Outreach Day
  • Tuesday, January 28 – Celebrating Our Volunteers
  • Wednesday, January 29 – Celebrate the Dignity of the Human Person
  • Thursday, January 30 – Celebrating Vocations/Teacher & Staff Appreciation
  • Friday, January 31 – Celebrating Our Students

We have provided a schedule for a more detailed look at the week’s activities.
