St. Vincent de Paul Ministry Food Drive     St. Vincent de Paul Ministry has been busy this summer helping our neighbors, as the need is greater than ever.  We’ve given away so much food, that it’s time for another no-contact food drive.  Please drop off any paper bags of non-perishable food in the area between Quigley and the Church through Saturday, August 15, between 7-9am or 4-6pm.  Please don’t drop off items during any other times or dates.  Thank you!

Items must be non-perishable and in non-glass containers.   A list of suggested items:

  • soup (in cans or boxes)
  • fruit and vegetables (in cans)
  • mac & cheese
  • peanut butter
  • pasta sauce
  • canned pasta
  • other items are welcome too
  • please no giant Costco items since most neighbors have limited space.

If you are in need of food, please email us at or call the parish office at 206-782-2810, and we will be happy to drop off some food.

Annual Catholic Appeal    Asante Sana!  With the help of many, we have reached our 2020 Annual Catholic Appeal goal of $98,710!  Even in these extraordinary times, the great community of St. John came together as one to offer support to the more than 60 ministries in Western Washington that the ACA funds.  Thank you, St. John community!

Catholic Schools Need Your Help!     Catholic schools have been affected by COVID-19, and they need your help.  Urge our U.S. Senators to support the Alexander-Scott School Choice Now Act.  COVID-19 has contributed to the permanent closure of 138 Catholic schools across 23 states and hundreds of others could be in jeopardy.  Please join the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in asking the U.S. Senate to include additional relief for Catholic schools in the emergency relief package currently being negotiated.

Public Masses     Seattle is approved for Phase 2.  We can now have public Masses with limited capacity.  Reservations are required to attend Mass. For more information about in-person Mass and to make reservations, go to the Parish Mass Reservation page.
