Vacation Bible School     It’s back! Taught by Mrs. Vanessa Castillo and Ms. Roisin Halley, VBS will be from August 16-20, 9am-Noon in Egan Hall Mezzanine. For students in grades K-4 (2021-22), this year’s program, Tracking Mary: Mysteries & Messages, features the Queen of Heaven Express – a special holy train traveling to the faraway places around the globe visited by Our Blessed Mother: Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, England and Ireland. Children discover how Mary brings us closer to Jesus through the power of the Rosary. Children will enjoy skits, activities and games. Click here for more information. Annual Catholic Appeal     Way to go St. John! We are over halfway to our ACA goal! Thanks to the 130 families who have helped us exceed the halfway mark! We have current pledges of $52,730 toward our $91,896 parish goal! There is still a way to go, and we would like to have the participation of all members of our St. John community – including offers of your prayers.

We know that the Annual Catholic Appeal supports over 60 ministries in Western Washington, but what specific programs does it support? Over the next few weeks, we will highlight some of these crucial ministries. This week, we are highlighting the Multicultural Ministry. The Multicultural Ministry team serves more than 20 cultural communities in the Archdiocese of Seattle, providing support and ensuring they have a voice in the archdiocese. This ministry works to ensure the various cultures are celebrated as well as promoted and appreciated. This past year, this team hosted the second annual Multicultural Celebration of Our Saints Mass at St. James Cathedral, honoring the richness in the cultural and ethnic diversity of the Archdiocese of Seattle and sponsored cultural days of reflection honoring Simbang Gabi and Black Catholic History Month.

Please contact your employer to see if they participate in a gift match program. It’s a great way to double or even triple your donation! The easiest way is to donate online at http://www.archseattle.org/acadonate or call the ACA office at 1-800-809-4921. Asante sana to those who have already donated!
