Cross-Country Champs! On Sunday afternoon at Lake Sammamish, 27 athletes from St. Alphonsus and St. John competed in the 2021 CYO XC Championships. Congratulations to St. John runners Ava, Maia, Pearl, Tilly, Bea, Abbey and St. Al runners Juliette and Layla for winning the 8th-grade girls team title. Congratulations to Ava for placing 6th in the 8th-grade girls’ division; Jake for placing 2nd in the 7th-grade boys’ division; and Nuala for finishing in the top ten in the 7th-grade girls’ division! Finally, congratulations to our entire St. Al/John team for winning the Virtual Season Team Championship, the award for the team with the most athletes participating throughout the virtual season! We are so proud of all of you. Thank you, Coach Andrew and Coach Candice for an exceptional season! Don’t forget this Friday, 5:30pm, October 15, is the end of the season Pumpkin Run!

Soccer: A number of our middle school teams are vying for spots at the top of the table. Playoffs start at the end of October. With 400+ St. John students (preK-8) participating in soccer, there are games all over the city this weekend. Come out and support the teams! Thank you coaches and volunteers.

Basketball: The CYO basketball season is currently delayed. The Archdiocese will let us know next week if we are able to safely have an indoor season this year. Stay tuned.
