Principal’s Letter

It’s showtime! Today, we all enjoyed the dress rehearsal of Shrek, The Musical, Jr. Based on the performance this afternoon, you are in for a very special time this weekend. A huge thank you to Director Kari Aguila and Assistant Directors David Benefiel and Erin Kalanquin. Thank you also to those who assisted with the production: parents, guardians, students, faculty and staff! The magic of community and teamwork, combined with creativity and dedication, shows through this wonderful performance.

The year seems to be flying by. Trimester 2 ends tomorrow. Report cards will be sent home next week. Students have a day off on March 10 as faculty and staff have in-service, and then a week later, it’s St. Patrick’s Day and the Auction – another great opportunity to celebrate St. John! The Auction team is looking for volunteers to help support the event. Sign-up now.

With the completion of the re-enrollment process for returning students – thank you, parents/guardians, for submitting your re-enrollment forms promptly – I am reminded again of the magic of our community. Your commitment to St. John demonstrates your commitment to our mission, our values and Fair Share. Based on trust and partnership, Fair Share is community in action. It is what makes St. John particularly special. Thank you all.

As we celebrate our community, we also continue on our Lenten journey. I give thanks I am on this journey with you. Let us carve out space in our hectic schedule to reflect, pray and prepare to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter. Students will be participating in Stations of the Cross tomorrow at 8:30am in the church. Join us.

Yours in Christ,

Bernadette O’Leary
