Principal’s Letter

We had a beautiful Mass yesterday for the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Fr. Crispin told us about St. Francis and his love for God’s creation and how he did all his work in love. The first and eighth-grade students assisted so well with the readings and the Prayers of Intercession. Cantionis and the Vocal Ensemble led us in song, encouraging all of us to lift our voices in unison. We are blessed!

I also felt blessed as I listened to the many comments during the Partners in the Gospel meeting on Monday evening. Thank you to all for taking the time to share your thoughts, concerns and hopes. For those who could not make it on Monday, there is another Listening Session on Sunday, 10/8, after the 10:30am Mass, and remember, you can also submit your thoughts and concerns online. Your input is important.

Thank you, Nurse Dora, for bringing the vaccination clinic back to campus. If you have not submitted a consent form, print it out and have your student bring it with them to the vaccine clinic tomorrow. Without a signed consent form, your child will not be able to participate in the vaccine clinic.

Next week is a short one. On Thursday, we will celebrate the success of Jog-a-thon 2023! Students in second grade will have a ‘silly-string’ showdown with Pablo and me! This is a Free Dress day for all students to celebrate our overall fundraising efforts. And on Friday, school is not in session as teachers will participate in the Christ in the Classroom professional development day.

Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, be strong and like St. Francis, do all your work in love.
