Make Altar Serving a Part of Your Lenten Journey
During Lent, we will have training sessions for children in grades 4. If you are interested in serving this ministry, please attend one of the training sessions offered on Saturdays at 4:15pm or Sundays after the 10:30am Mass in the church. Thank you to those who answered the call to help out WestSide Baby! Both cribs are overflowing, and the donations will be brought to their facility soon. The St. John Community always steps up when there is a need, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.
The 2024 Rice Bowl Grants Have Been Awarded
The 2024 Rice Bowl Grants were just awarded! We are happy to report that we received funds for all three grant submissions. Better yet, we received double the money for the grants for which we applied! In the letter we received from the Archdiocese, they wrote: “Due to the incredible generosity of parishioners throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle, we were able to double the amount of each grant and award your ministry $1,000!”
Grants were awarded for the following:
North Deanery Community Dinners: $1,000
St. Martin de Porres Men’s Shelter: $1,000
WestSide Baby: $1,000
