Make Altar Serving a Part of Your Lenten Journey

During Lent, we will have training sessions for children in grade 4 who are interested in being altar servers. If you are interested in serving this ministry, please attend one of the training sessions offered on Saturday, March 23, at 4:15pm or Sunday, March 24, at 11:30am. Questions? Contact Laura Root at rootpelfrey@live.com.

Holy Thursday

Father would like to wash your feet! As part of the Holy Thursday mass, Father washes the feet of twelve people. If you are interested in being one of the twelve, please contact the parish office to volunteer. The mass begins at 7pm on March 28, and you will need to arrive 20 minutes early for instructions.

Easter Mass Volunteers!

Father Crispin invites children to help with our Easter Sunday 10:30am liturgy! Roles include readers, gift bearers and ushers. We also need a few adults to assist and guide the children! Please sign up here. Questions? Contact Julia Rudden at jrudden@stjohnsea.org

The 2024 Rice Bowl Grants Have Been Awarded

The 2024 Rice Bowl Grants were just awarded! We are happy to report that we received funds for all three grant submissions. Better yet, we received double the money for the grants for which we applied! In the letter we received from the Archdiocese, they wrote: “Due to the incredible generosity of parishioners throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle, we were able to double the amount of each grant and award your ministry $1,000!”

Grants were awarded for the following:

North Deanery Community Dinners: $1,000

St. Martin de Porres Men’s Shelter: $1,000

WestSide Baby: $1,000

Thank you to the St. John Community for your continued support of the Rice Bowl Program.
