2025 Parish Stewardship Drive & State of the Parish
Mark your calendars! We are kicking off our 2025 Stewardship Renewal Drive AT ALL THREE MASSES THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 26 & 27, including the State of the Parish Presentation. The State of the Parish will include our current financial picture, a message from a member of the parish on why they support St. John, followed by a photo montage highlighting the great things you have helped St. John accomplish in the last year. We ask you to prayerfully consider your stewardship commitment for 2025.
School Families: In order to be eligible, and to remain eligible, for Parish Fair Share tuition, each family must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered in the Parish; you may do this at the parish office or online at www.stjohnsea.org
- Be active in the life of the parish including:
- ATTEND THE STATE OF THE PARISH PRESENTATION IN PERSON THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 26 & 27
- Be supportive of or involved in one of the many ministries of the Parish.
- File a stewardship pledge card if you are a new family or you have changed your pledge amount; otherwise, your pledge will be automatically rolled over from 2024.
- Make a consistent effort to meet that pledge.
School families can pick up their Parish Stewardship envelopes at any of the Masses. The envelope includes your letter from Fr. Parrish with your pledge card and the Parish Fair Share Stewardship Agreement. If you take part in this program, the agreement must be signed and returned to the Parish Office.
Annual Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, Oct. 13 from Noon-12:45pm, St. John School Schoolyard
The St. John’s Saint Francis of Assisi ministry and the St. Benedict’s Care for Creation ministry would like to invite you to bring your pet to St. John’s schoolyard on Sunday, October 13 to celebrate the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. Father Parrish will bless the animals between Noon-12:45pm. We anticipate animals of all sizes and types, and we don’t wish any to be harmed; we require all dogs to either be leashed or carried in a secure dog carrier. All other animals (e.g., cats, birds, hamsters, snakes, etc.) need to be brought to the schoolyard in a secure carrier. If you can’t bring your pet in a secure carrier or if you can’t control your leashed dog, please leave your pet home and bring a photo for Father Parrish to bless.
