Principal’s Letter

On Monday we lit the second candle of Advent, the Bethlehem Candle, representing peace and preparation. Guided by our creative teaching staff, your students are actively preparing this Advent season. In the primary department, a kindness paper chain adorns the hallway, with each link representing a specific act of kindness students plan to perform during Advent. Intermediate students begin each morning in prayer, adding a new ornament to their Jesse Tree, and our middle school students have illustrated Old Testament prophecies that foretell the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. We invite you to join us this coming Monday, 12/16, at 8:20am in the church, as we light the third candle of Advent and celebrate the Joy of the Season together.

Tonight, we are celebrating the joy of watching our K-2nd graders in their Christmas performances. Thank you, Ms. Villanueva, and our parent volunteers, for your work preparing our students for this special event. We look forward to celebrating with our 3rd-5th grade families next Thursday evening as they share the joy of the season through song.

And speaking of spreading the joy, it’s starting to look a lot like Christmas, and we are ready to have some holiday fun. Students are encouraged to participate in our holiday Spirt Days!

  • Wednesday, 12/18: Crazy Winter Scarves/Socks Day (Uniforms are still required.)
  • Thursday, 12/19: Holiday Headwear Day (Uniforms are still required.)
  • Friday, 12/20: Christmas Cozy Day

We hope to see you tomorrow morning, at 8:30 in Egan Hall, for our PA meeting where you will learn more about upcoming events, including our exciting new auction format.

Wishing you the Joy of the Season,

Principal Mansfield
