Principal’s Letter
It has been a wonderful week full of celebrations – starting off with our Catholic Schools Week Mass. I loved looking out and seeing a packed church full of school families (we should do that every week)! I am also happy to report that we raised $1900.00 for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles relief fund, which will go directly toward helping families impacted by the California fires. And, as of this morning, we have raised $1865.00 for our Unbound students! Thank you, Mrs. Brumback and Mrs. Overa for leading our students in these fundraising efforts, and thank you all for your generous support.
Tomorrow, we celebrate our students! Thank you to the Parent Association and all the volunteers who have worked throughout the week to make this a memorable day for our community. There is still work to do; please join us for the PA meeting in Egan Hall at 8:30am tomorrow morning, and then stay for a bit to help transform Egan into a magical getaway for our student appreciation lunch.
You will have another opportunity to celebrate your students this afternoon as children in grades 3-8 will be bringing home their Trimester 2 progress reports. Remember, these are just a quick snapshot of your student’s academic performance and are a great opportunity to discuss subjects they are loving right now, an area where they are working hard and are proud of their efforts, identify areas for growth, and set some goals together.
Don’t forget; it’s re-enrollment time. The deadline to re-enroll your returning student is 2/5, and the application portal is open for new siblings of returning families. The deadline to submit an admission application for a new sibling is also 2/5.
Curious to learn more about our new preschool program? Take a look at these FAQs and join me for an in-person Q&A on Tuesday, February 11, at 8:30am in the Parish Admin Building. RSVP here.
Looking forward to seeing all the purple and gold tomorrow and celebrating the class of 2025, and all our students. Go Eagles!
Principal Mansfield
