Principal’s Letter

Have you secured your auction tickets yet? As of this morning, over 130 of you have taken advantage of the Flash Sale, but we can do better! Additionally, raffle tickets are going home with your youngest student tomorrow, so be sure to check those backpacks and refer to the enclosed letter for all pertinent details.

Today is the last day to purchase your online tickets for the St. John Family Sweetheart Soirée tomorrow night. We’ll have a DJ spinning all your favorite tunes, a photo booth to capture the magic, and a craft activity to get creative. I’ve been brushing up on my moves and can’t wait to see you on the dance floor.

I’d like to welcome back math specialist, Mrs. Sarah Olsen, from maternity leave. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Mrs. Olsen will support our primary students and run our Beast Academy enrichment program. Mr. Erik Skipper, who seamlessly filled in for Mrs. Olsen while she was on leave, will continue to teach our 7th-grade pre-algebra course and provide math support to our intermediate and middle school math students on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Welcome back, Mrs. Olsen!

We are nearing the end of Trimester 2, and I encourage you to talk with your students about how things are going in the classroom. Parents of 4th-8th graders will want to check PowerSchool and help your student utilize these next two, full weeks, of school to get caught up on any missing work from extended vacations or absences due to illness. Trimester 2 ends March 7 and report cards will be sent home with students on March 13.
