Principal’s Letter

We did it! Thanks to your generous support we surpassed our $100,000 Jog-a-thon goal and had over 93% fundraising participation – this is a true testament to the commitment you all have to our community. Thank you for your giving, both monetarily and of your time. St. John is what it is because we all do our fair share. If you haven’t had a chance to make your pledge, don’t despair, Jog-a-thon donations remain open until midnight tomorrow.

Looking for ways to continue to spread ripples of positive impact in our community? Consider joining our team of angels who serve on the playground during recess, ensuring our staff can take a much-needed lunch break. And speaking of lunch, our incredible kitchen team is in need of additional volunteers to help serve student meals. You can find more information about these two opportunities, as well as other ways to get involved on our volunteer page.

Spread the word – we are hiring. We are looking for a long-term middle school ELA/ Religion substitute. This paid position would begin the end of November and go through June. We are also looking for someone to direct a middle school theater production. This stipend position is a great way to get involved and share your creative gifts. If you, or someone you know, is interested please have them email amansfield@st-johnschool.org. We often find our best hires come directly from within our community.

Tonight, we are welcoming our K-5 families to campus to see the classrooms and hear the ways our teachers are meeting the spiritual, academic, and social needs of all our learners. We have an amazing team of educators, including six St. John alums – talk about ripples; this speaks volumes about our community.

Reminder: Oktoberfest is October 18, and tickets are on sale now. I look forward to seeing you there.

We all have something this world needs,

Principal Mansfield
