Free Youth EKG Heart Screenings For Ages 12-24, February 28, 2026 – The Seahawks are partnering with The Nick of Time Foundation and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health to provide free youth heart screenings at the Seahawks Training Facility in Renton on Saturday, February 28. There will be Seahawks swag and talent on-site. 

Why is a youth EKG heart screening important? Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in exercising young athletes. The best way to detect the types of heart conditions that could potentially cause sudden cardiac arrest is through a heart screening that includes a comprehensive family health history, electrocardiogram (EKG), and may also include echocardiogram (ECHO) using testing criteria developed especially for young hearts.
