“Clean Out” to Benefit WestSide Baby Clients Friday, June 3rd

We are excited to announce a new partnership between St. John School and local nonprofit, WestSide Baby. WestSide Baby is the only social service agency in the West King County area that collects and distributes diapers, clothing, cribs, and safety gear for babies and children up to age 12. With the support of people like you, WSB helps keep local children in need safe, warm, and dry.

A little history:  Two years ago, WestSide Baby merged with St. Joseph’s Baby Corner and now together they are serving hundreds more children in the Seattle area. As many of you know, SJBC – now WestSide Baby – has been a ministry of our Parish for years (you may have dropped off donations at in the crib in the Church). Your donations of gently used clothing, toys, books, equipment, and new diapers have helped to make life a little easier for local families who are suffering. Thank you!

On Friday, June 3rd, the school will host a “Spring Clean” donation drive. What we’re asking you to do is to bring any lightly used, unwanted children’s clothing sizes 0-14, books, toys, baby gear, unused diapers, wipes, and equipment to school. We’ll be waiting by the flagpole beginning at 8am, to unload your goodies and whisk them off to WestSide Baby to be sorted and distributed.

We appreciate the support and look forward to a successful event. If you have any questions please email: Liz Overland, WSB Board Member and Crib Community Liason at: zzoverland@gmail.com.
