Grs. 5-8, Hands-On 3D Modeling Workshop

Excited about the school’s 3D printer but want some help getting started? Opportunities are available for students to become oriented with, and learn to use the 3D printer.

Orientation to 3D Printing, 3:15-4pm    Three dates are available to students in all grades to become familiar with 3D printing, and how to submit a class project request: Thursdays, October 25, November 8, November 15.   Note:  Attendance at the orientation is a prerequisite to attending the Hands-On Workshop.

Hands-On Workshop – Thursday, November 1, 3:15 – 5pm     Students in grades 5 – 8 are invited to register for a hands-on 3D Modeling Workshop. This is a step-by-step guided session where each student will create a small custom 3D model using TinkerCAD. Bring an idea for a class project or make a fun personalized gift, decorative item, or functional object. Models will be printed and distributed during the week following the workshop. Limited to 20 students.
