Principal’s Letter

It was with great pleasure and pride that I listened to Mrs. Megan Costa as she told us about her experiences at St. John.  Her love for the community and her students radiates daily.  As I walked through the hallways during Open House, and each day, I see that in all our teachers.  Catholic Schools Week is indeed a celebration of the power of Catholic education, but here at St. John, we teach as Jesus did every single day.  Together we learn, serve, lead, and help our community succeed.

Check out the Facebook and Instagram posts for updates on the activities during the week.  Our Geography Bee scholars did an amazing job!  Despite the pressure of being in front of the student body, they answered rounds and rounds of tough questions!  Congratulations to the winner, Jacob in 8th grade, and runners-up, Sarah in 8th grade, and Rachel in 6th grade.

On Wednesday, Fr. Crispin led us in a contemplative prayer as he taught us about Benediction and Adoration.  Prayer is another powerful blessing that we share here at St. John.  We pray daily.  Students and teachers can hand over their gratitude and concerns to God through prayer.

On behalf of the teachers and staff, thank you for the flowers and for the luncheon.  Let me add a thank you for all the monthly lunches.  Teachers are truly grateful to all you parents!

You are welcome tomorrow to the Purple and Gold celebration!  Purple and Gold Day activities start at 1:30pm in the gym.  Come and cheer on the faculty as the 8th grade challenges the faculty and staff in various sports contests.  You may want to bring your ear-plugs!  I get to have the day off as the Souder students take over as Principals for the Day!

Blessings!
