Parish News

Visit the Parish Website for detailed information about Mass schedules, special events, and the Parish e-newsletter. The following are highlights:

Warm Hats, Gloves, and Socks for our Community Dinners     St. John and four other parishes are serving free weekly dinners at Bitter Lake Park to help us go forth to encounter and accompany those on the margins in our neighborhood. In addition to serving meals, there is an option for hosting parishes to bring ‘useful items’ for our dinner guests who are homeless. If your household would like to donate warm hats, gloves, socks, etc., please bring items to the parish office. St. John hosts the dinner on the last Wednesday of the month. For more information contact Kim Burkhardt at kburkhardt@stjohnsea.org.

St. Vincent de Paul Ministry     Are you, or someone you know, in need of emergency assistance? If so, please call the St. Vincent de Paul Helpline Center at 206-767-6449. Calls are accepted Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm. When a request is received, it is forwarded to that person’s parish conference of St. Vincent de Paul. We respond to requests quickly and confidentially. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, we are able to provide help with food, utilities, rent, and more. We can also provide information on other sources of help.
