Back to School Information

We are excited to welcome students to the 2022-2023 school year! You may find the following information helpful as you prepare for the opening of school.

  • Teacher Assignments – Class placements will be available tomorrow, Friday, August 26 at 4pm through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  • Visit our Back-to-School page You will find links to forms needing signatures, handbooks to review, class supply lists and more. Become familiar with the website. There is a lot of information and answers to questions.  If you can’t find your answer, contact us.
  • Class Supply Lists – Class supply lists and suggestions for purchasing are available here.
  • School Uniform Uniforms may be purchased through Dennis Uniform.* The Uniform Exchange will be open August 29-31 from 10am-3pm and during the Back to School BBQ. Uniform items that do not have the St. John logo or Marymount pattern can be purchased from other retailers as long as they match in style and color.
    • Middle School Students: PE uniforms are not required at this point. Parents who have already purchased PE uniforms should hold on to them until further notice.
    • *Note: Dennis Uniform, like many retailers, is experiencing staffing challenges and inventory delays. Do check if the St. John Uniform Exchange has uniform items that may be useful for your student until your order arrives.
  • Hot Lunch Ordering – The portal for ordering hot lunch for September will be open tomorrow, Friday, August 26 at 5pm. Make sure to place your order soon; the portal closes on September 1.
  • Volunteering at St. John School – All adults volunteering at St. John School must go through Safe Environment Training. The first training is a three-hour, in-person training followed by periodic online training (you will be notified about via email). Please begin now if you plan to assist with sports, playground, classroom, or any other endeavor dealing with children. Contact Sheila Marty in the Parish Office with questions.
