St. John’s ACA goal this year is $87,833. As you heard from Fr. Crispin at all the Masses the weekend of May 13 and 14, each dollar makes a difference in helping to fund the more than 60 essential ministries in the Archdiocese. Please prayerfully consider how you can participate in helping our parish be a light to others. Thanks to the over 90 families who have already made their pledges. By receiving over $34,000 in pledges and gifts, we are just under 40% of our goal! Asante sana!
Once we reach our goal, all funds collected go directly back to St. John Parish. This year those funds will go to our operating budget. There are three reasons for this decision:
- Since the pandemic, mass attendance has dropped significantly, and, consequently, so have collections. Although we are doing well this year, we cannot predict what next year will look like.
- St. John Parish and School have already committed to funding several projects on our campus, including the $1.3 million ventilation system in the school, beginning this June.
- The Partners in the Gospel process will bring changes over the next few years, and leadership suggested we do not begin any new projects at this time.
You should be receiving a letter from Fr. Crispin this week asking for your support of the ACA. If you have already made a pledge and the letter crossed in the mail, thank you! The quickest and easiest way to donate is to do so online. Please go to https://www.archseattle.org/acadonate.
