Principal’s Letter
We are well on our way to setting those auction records I am hoping for – as of this morning we have sold 320 tickets. This is incredible. If you haven’t had a chance to secure your ticket, you still have time; tickets will be on sale until March 18 – purchase here. Raffle tickets went home last week. As a reminder, we ask all families to sell a minimum of 15 tickets. Thank you for supporting this essential school fundraiser.
Last Friday’s Family Sweetheart Soirée was a huge success! Thank you to our Parent Association chairs, Rachael Groark and Maile Sullivan, along with the Valleys, and all the volunteers who helped prep decorations, set up food, run games, and supervise activities. Events like this are only possible with your support, and we appreciate all you do to bring our community together for events like this.
Next week we begin the season of Lent. Lent is a time to slow down, take stock, and remind ourselves who we are and what’s important to us. Join us on Wednesday, March 5, at 9am for our Ash Wednesday Mass. Reminder, this is a Dress Uniform day for all students. We look forward to worshipping with you. And if you are looking for other ways to engage in our rich Parish life, join us this Saturday following the 5pm Mass for Family Movie Night. There will be pizza for all, and beer and wine for the parents. This is a great opportunity to relax, enjoy some family-friendly entertainment, and mingle with other families in the community. Don’t miss out on a fun night for all ages – RSVP here.
Tickets to the middle school Musical are one sale now. The cast and crew are deep into rehearsals and looking forward to sharing the production with you. Don’t forget to reserve your seats.
Next week marks the end of Trimester 2. School is not in session on Friday, March 7, as teachers will gather together for a time of reflection and rejuvenation as we prepare for Lent and Trimester 3. Extended Daycare is also closed on March 7.
Hope to see many of you tomorrow morning at the Parent Association Meeting in Egan Hall,
Principal Mansfield
