Dear Families,
This communication is your “summer packet” – filled with information you will need for the upcoming school year, 2016/2017. We look forward to welcoming our students and their families to school in August.

- Handbooks will be updated over the summer. Check back in order to review the handbooks and sign the Handbook Review Certification, required of all families and students.
- Cell phone, photo permission, privacy statement, and Greenwood Library agreement must be signed by all families.
- Smart Tuition Management Services handles all tuition fees for school and Extended Services (XDC, After School Studies). Payments begin in July for tuition pledges ( based on your choice of plan – lump sum, 2, 4, or 11 payments) and in August for XDC service contracts. At any time you may view your account online (parent.smarttuition.com) or call (888) 868-8828. Diane Crockett oversees your account and is also available in the school office – 206-783-0337 or dcrockett@st-johnschool.org.
- Note that each year your Smart account number will change. It is important to note your Smart account number correctly with your.
- Late payments receive a fee of $45.00. Your payment is late if it is received 10 or more days past the deadline. Example: Due on the 10th, late fee applied on the 20th.
- If you require Extended Day Care (Grades PK-5) or After School Studies (Grades 6-8) in the fall, please visit the Extended Day Care website and request enrollment here, if you have not already done so.
- Volunteering at St. John School is not only a responsibility of all families, it is great fun and a wonderful way to become involved and meet other families. As a Fair Share school, your volunteer commitment is vital to keeping St. John School accessible to all. Access this link to see all the opportunities available, and sign up today.
- Your student’s class assignment will be emailed in August prior to the start of school.
The school office will officially close on July 5 and reopen August 8. Should you have questions or needs during this time, feel free to leave a message at 206-783-0337.
