Principal’s Letter

Our theme this year, “You are rooted in God’s love, called to make a difference,” Colossians 2:6–7, speaks to both who we are and who we hope our students will become. Rooted in the knowledge that they are created in the image and likeness of God – known, loved, and valued – our students are given the foundation to grow with confidence, use their unique gifts, care for others, and have the courage to make a difference in their community and our world.

We are excited to welcome you. The campus is clean and inviting, the hallways sparkle, the classrooms are prepped, and thanks to your generous Fund-A-Need donations, the bathroom refresh project in the main school building has been completed. Huge shout-outs to Beatriz Paloma and our maintenance team, Vice Principal Kelley, Brent Stinebrickner, Ryan Yokel, Steve Hall, David Cates, and Mary Wiseman for spearheading all of the campus improvement projects this summer; we appreciate all your efforts in caring for our facilities!

We look forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday, during our Student Drop-In day and invite you all to join us on the blacktop after drop-off on Wednesday for coffee and fellowship as we ring in the new school year together. As you are preparing to re-engage your morning routines, please read and review our school traffic pattern and operational hours.

  • Preschool 8:30am-2:45pm, Monday through Friday
  • Grades K-5 8:20am-3pm, Monday through Friday
  • Grades 6-8 8:20am-3:05pm, Monday through Friday

School doors open to K-8 students at 8:05am, and the tardy bell rings at 8:20am. Plan your arrivals in that window of time. There is no supervision on the playground prior to doors opening, so please do not drop your child early. Upon arrival to campus, students report directly to homerooms. To report a student absence, please use the online form or call the school office, 206-783-0337.

And, parents, don’t forget your summer homework – please complete all the Parent Authorization Form prior to the first day of school.
