Broadview-Thomson K-8 Food Program
Thank you to the entire St. John Community for your continued support of the BTK-8 Food program. Your giving, especially during the last two years of the pandemic, has made a huge difference to so many families in need.
This February, your donations through regular giving and donating unused Scrip funds made it possible to give $3,325 in (Safeway & Fred Meyer) gift cards directly to families.
We recently received these notes from the Food Program Coordinator and a Family Support Volunteer at BTK-8:
“Thank you so very much for your generous donation to the Food Program at Broadview-Thomson K-8. Your gifts will help our students and families who are struggling during what has proven to be another difficult year. Thank you!”
“Dear St. John Members: Thank you for your generosity in support of Broadview-Thomson students. This is a most difficult time for our students and their families. These gifts help tremendously those students who are most impacted by the ongoing pandemic. Thanks again.”
West Side Baby – St. John Baby Corner Update
Thank you to all who donated items this winter to help so many in need through the collection center at WestSide Baby. A huge shout out to Patrice & Richard Holberg who picked up all the donations and delivered them.
From Patrice’s email: “On 2/28, Richard and I took our car full of donations to the South Lake Union donation site, and they were so happy to receive so much. Our car was overflowing with (10) bags of clothes, toys, and a stroller.”
