National Catholic Schools Week 2017

What is National Catholic Schools Week?     National Catholic Schools Week began in 1974, and is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It begins the last Sunday in January and runs all week. We will celebrate as a school along with Catholic schools across the nation, January 29 through February 4. The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2017 is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” St. John School will observe the annual celebration week with Mass, open house and other activities for students, families, stakeholders, and community members. Through these events, we focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities, and our nation.
