Spring
Chess Club – Thursdays, 4/27 to 6/1, 3:05-4:15pm We welcome back Chess Club for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Cost is $60 per student. K/1 session limited to 16 participants; Grades 2-5 session limited to 32 participants.
Summer – Week of June 12, 2017
Coding with Kids Game Development – Beginner/Intermediate Scratch – Half-day program for students ages 8-13, 9am-12pm, $265 per participant. Aspiring coders can take their first steps up the Coder’s Ladder by building their first games and learning and practicing core programming concepts. No prerequisites for this class.
Cooking Club For students entering grades 3 through 5 in Fall 2017/2018, 9am-12:30pm, $240 per participant. Join our school Chef Michael Strimban and Dietitian Kara Dacquisto to learn the habits of good cooking and healthy eating. Limited to 12 participants.
LEGO®
- Students currently in Kindergarten and Grade 1 – Intro to STEM, limited to 24 students, 9am-12pm, $130 per participant – Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer- designed projects such as Trains, Helicopters, Treehouses, and Beam Bridges. Then use special pieces to create your own unique design! New and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.
- Students currently in Grades 2-5 – STEM Challenge, limited to 24 students, 1pm-4pm, $130 per participant – Master your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as Gear Cars, Gondolas, Merry-Go-Rounds, and Scissor Lifts! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.
