Chef Michael’s Recipe of the Week: Cheesy Bread

Students have been known to cheer when they see that cheesy bread is on the lunch line.  Now students can do the cheesy bread cheer at home!  Follow Chef Michael’s recipe and treat yourself to seconds and thirds!  Remember to wash your hands.

Cheesy Bread

  • one baguette sliced
  • 2 oz extra virgin olive oil (evoo)
  • 6 oz grated low moisture mozzarella (the cheese that goes on pizza)
  • 2 oz grated parmesan
  • 1 clove grated garlic

Pour evoo and grated garlic on a sheet tray.  Combine both ingredients.  Cover each slice of bread on both sides with the  evoo and garlic mixture.  Place both cheeses on top of each bread slice.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese melts and starts to brown.  Enjoy!
