Ms. Shaw’s Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Groups

Ms. Shaw is offering her third round of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) groups this spring. SEL groups are a key support for students in K-5th grade. Groups focus on a variety of SEL skills, including emotional regulation and coping skills, friendship and social skills, and executive functioning skills related to academic success. Groups are formed with 4-6 same-grade peers and meet weekly for 30 minutes during the school day for 10 weeks. The deadline to submit the registration form is Monday, March 18 if you would like your child to participate in a group.

Max Stossel and Social Awakening Presentation

You are invited to join Max Stossel and Social Awakening on Monday, March 25, at 6pm at Victoria Hall, St. Catherine School.

Max Stossel is an award-winning artist, the founder of Social Awakening, an organization dedicated to helping young people survive and thrive in the modern world, and the Youth & Education Advisor for the Center for Humane Technology, a group working to realign technology with humanity (as featured in The Social Dilemma).

Max will illustrate some of the specific ways technology is designed to be addictive & distracting, highlight how that’s impacting our kids’ minds, and give recommendations on how to address some of the challenges you and your family are facing. This presentation concludes with an open space to discuss what’s working and not working in our households.

Please register to attend this presentation here. This presentation is for parents only.
