Thank you

Those very simple words don’t at all convey how thankful and grateful I feel to be a part of this community. Yesterday, the fifth graders had big roles to play in a lovely and joyful Mass. They served, were lectors, read the intercessions, and during the homily they recognized Fr. Crispin as our earthly Good Shepherd. It was beautiful and as usual, the choir helped us pray twice! Once again I was aware of the power in the team! In arranging this Mass, many people took the time to ensure that it would be befitting our heavenly Good Shepherd and a meaningful celebration of the Eucharist for our students.

Tomorrow, we head out for a Night in Havana courtesy of another team of volunteers. Once again we will be celebrating our community and raising our bid numbers to ensure the continued success of our school. We are all deeply indebted to the commitment and time invested by our Auction Chairs, Teresa Campbell and Katie Sawicki. and the Volunteer Coordinator, Lynette Muenzberg. Together with Fundraising Director, Julie Skinner they are leading a hardworking team of volunteers who are giving their time and energy for every single one of your children.  Our unique and successful system of Fair Share is dependent on volunteerism and team work, and these parents epitomize and live out the philosophy.  I thank them and I thank all of you who are ensuring that St. John students thrive in a successful school.  You can still volunteer for the auction.  We need more volunteers at the event tomorrow evening.  Come for one hour or more.  Sign up here.  And don’t forget to bid on the Silent Auction, online at Bidding For Good here!

Beannacht,
