Scrip – May Madness Results Are In!

WOW! That’s all I can say about the May Madness Scrip Contest! Last year for this contest, the St. John community purchased 1,247 cards. This time the community bought 1,761 cards for an increase of over 40% — thank you, thank you, thank you!

Drumroll, please….

  • Mrs. White’s AM Preschool bought the most Scrip cards in Preschool with 84. They will celebrate with a Popsicle® party!
  • In the lower grades, K-2, Mrs. Todd’s 1st grade class bought the most cards with 308 cards.
  • In theiIntermediate grades, 3-5, Mrs. Mansfield’s class purchased the most cards with 305 cards.
  • In Middle School, Ms. Sullivan’s class took home the honors with 127 cards.
  • And the family that bought the most Scrip was the Pessner family and will receive $100 in Scrip.

The K-8 school rankings are:

  • 1st place, Mrs. Todd, 1st grade with 308 cards
  • 2nd place, Mrs. Mansfield, 3rd grade with 303 cards
  • 3rd place, Mrs. Castillo, 3rd grade with 208 cards
  • 4th place, Miss Murray, Kindergarten with 196 cards
  • 5th place, Mrs. Skokan, 4th grade with 154 cards

In the spirit of community (and potential human error), both Mrs. Todd’s and Mrs. Mansfield’s classes will enjoy an ice cream sundae treat in the next two weeks.

Thank you for your amazing support of Scrip this month and in the future.

We will be selling Scrip this Friday from 2:45-3:15 outside of the school office. Thank you.

Say Thank You! You can “gift” Scrip to teachers and school staff by sending in a note and check to the school office by June 10th. Tell me the amount you wish to give, the person you wish to give it to, and I will put the money in the individual account Scrip account.  Let the person know by sending them a note or email. Nice way to say thanks, and always appreciated.

Let us know your summer Scrip needs. We will be selling 2 times a month after Sunday Masses during the summer, at the Uniform Sale, and you can always email us at stjohnscrip@st-johnschool.org anytime. Have a wonderful and safe summer!  Karen Gunther Bombino, Scrip Coordinator
