Father Narciso

We received the following correspondence today fromPeru-delegation-2016-e1453931300139 Fr. Pedro of our Sister Parish in Ilave:

“We are saddened by the unexpected passing of Fr. Narciso to the House of our Lord. Father died yesterday in a traffic accident returning from Bolivia to Perú. We are united in prayer and hope.
Sincerely and with many memories, Fr. Pedro”

We have enjoyed a relationship with Father Narciso for 20 years. He served as the long-time Pastor of our Sister Parish in Ilave, Perú. Our Amigos de Perú delegations were the recipients of his gracious hospitality on our many trips to Perú. Father Narciso was instrumental in building the St. John Seattle Library located in Ilave, Perú.  This academic gathering place provides support materials and technology for both students and catechists. Father also made many visits to the states to spend time with us here at St. John and Father Bloom in Monroe. He was devoted to the seminary and taught in Perú.  He was a great, holy, man. We were all touched by his gentle and spiritual ways.

If you would like to make a donation in his name to continue support of the library, make checks payable to St. John – Amigos de Perú and note the donation for Father Narciso.
