Principal’s Letter

Dear Parents and Friends,

It is quieter here at school these days as the middle school students are off on field trips. The teachers are updating me constantly and all seem to be having good experiences. You may have already seen many Facebook photos of the eighth graders who have already visited Mount Vernon, Monticello, Gettysburg, and the Pentagon and of the seventh-grade students who participated in a service project of prepping a community garden and are in fine spirits exploring our own Washington State. We are praying that the rain is not too heavy out at Camp Hamilton where are sixth graders are experiencing the outdoors as they study environmental science.

The second-grade students went to high school this morning! They attended Mass at Bishop Blanchet with second-grade students from many of our region’s schools and with the high school students. The First Communicants and the high school students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation were celebrated. Our second graders asked if they could see a classroom and Mr. DeSapio, President of BBHS, invited them into a marine biology science lab where they were they were in awe of the big tank with all the sea life. Thank you, again teachers and chaperones, for making possible all these experiences for the children.  Find the 7th grade Facebook page.

I am also very grateful to the teachers for giving of their time and providing entertaining auction parties and treats. And thank you, parents for bidding so your children could participate. Your support is always appreciated.
