Love and Charity

Happy St. Valentine’s Day! This month the fruits of the Holy Spirit are Love and Charity. At Mass, Fr. Crispin repeated the last lines of the second reading:  It doesn’t matter how much you have. What matters is how much you are willing to give from what you have.

He told the students that they can give kindness, they can smile to help someone.   He told them that when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth to offer help, she was filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Fr. Crispin told us about the power of sharing through the miracle of the loaves and fishes. When we help and show kindness, we all feel better. Kindness grows and blossoms – the Holy Spirit comes upon us.  May we all feel that love, this Valentine’s Weekend and throughout the year.

Thank you for your attendance at the State of the School and Facilitation. I am very grateful to all those who helped with the presentation and Facilitation. It takes a school and a parish community!   Registration is well underway and we have many families applying to join our St. John community. If you know of others who may be thinking about joining our community, encourage them to let us know as soon as possible.

The teachers will be on retreat tomorrow. The topic is prayer. We will pray in gratitude for the support we receive from all of you. I wish you a peaceful mid-winter holiday.

God Bless,

Bernadette
