Principal’s Letter

It’s National Assistant Principals Week! On behalf of the entire community, I take this opportunity to thank you, Pablo, for your selfless dedication and commitment to St. John School. A week is not long enough and even though I may have that Irish gift of the gab, I don’t have enough words to acknowledge all that you do for our school. We are grateful.

The sacred Paschal Triduum begins today, our reminder of the great love that Jesus has for us. Holy Thursday Mass not only commemorates the institution of the Sacrament of the Eucharist, but it is also an invitation to join Jesus at the table, to see how he humbles himself and to become an empowered disciple. Mass is at 7pm. Tomorrow, at 11 am, students in grade 7 will lead us in the Stations of the Cross. Dismissal is at noon, and we ask that students and parents prayerfully and silently leave the campus. Throughout the weekend we will join together as a community rich in compassion during the Stations and the Vigil and as a community rich in hope as we celebrate the joy of Easter. Jesus is always with us. We are called to share that love. I wish you all a glorious Easter and a relaxing break. I look forward to seeing you back, refreshed, on April 17. Remember, NewsViews will not be published during the Easter Holidays.

God bless,

Bernadette O’Leary
